How we sort
These are the criteria we sort offers by (§ 5b (2) UWG). Commissions play no part.

Prices on a stay page
Booking sites are sorted by the total you can expect at checkout, cheapest first.
- The basis is the total for the whole stay as the booking site reported it in our latest check, with taxes and fees as the site shows them. A local city tax may come on top.
- If we tested a booking site at least 5 times at checkout and its price there was more than 1 % higher on average, we add that markup. You then see “at checkout ≈ …” next to it.
- On equal prices, the lower listed price comes first, then the hotel's own website, then the name.
- We only show booking sites we have reviewed. The note under the table says how many other sites had a price.
Hotels
In the search, hotels whose name starts with what you typed come first, then matches in the name, then in the city. On overview pages we sort by city and name.
What never matters
Whether a booking site pays us a commission affects neither the order nor which prices we show nor our view on a price. It only decides whether there is a button: we link to our partners only. More in the affiliate disclosure.
